If the maximum technically permissible weight of the entire set (car + caravan) does not exceed 3,500 kg, you need a group B driver's license for the entire EU. If the vehicle weighs more than 3,500 kg, but does not exceed 4,250 kg, an extension of the vehicle registration certificate according to paragraph 96 is sufficient. If the set weight exceeds 4250 kg, you must have a B + E driver's license.
