Okr. Spišská Nová Ves: In front of the old mine shaft there is a nice flat place to stand and spend the night. There is a wooden bench under the roof. Close to the road, but hidden behind trees and in a bend. You can hear the sound of cars, but you can sleep. Just a short distance from the road you have to climb a slight hill. It is near the village of Poráč, in beautiful nature, suitable for hiking, relaxation and rest. An SUV or station wagon will definitely climb the hill. Spišská Nová Ves: Relatively flat gravel track. The sun sets behind the hill. Therefore, the evening is very pleasant, especially on a hot day. There is a shooting range a few meters away, but shooting is only done there during the day. Otherwise, there are several hiking trails. Arrival on a dirt road. Occasionally cars pass by. At the shooting range, right next to the parking lot, there is a turnoff to a repaired bunker. 📍N 48°55’12.864” E 20°33’24.408”
Letanovce: Separate parking lot with a turnoff to several hiking trails. Quiet at night, but a few people in the morning. Water nearby on the red trail (hand pump).📍 N 48°57’42.9804” E 20°26’44.2716”
Brdárka: A meadow by the rarely used road to the village of Brdárka. Hidden behind dense bushes and trees. 📍 N 48°45’6.6888” E 20°19’47.4564”
Nižná Slaná: Small gravel parking lot by the winding road. The road is already very quiet during the day, probably deserted at night. Vans, trucks, campers, everything goes by, it's flat and big enough for me to park there without any worries. 📍 N 48°43’4.9944” E 20°23’32.3052” - Not suitable for winter use and is very close to the road...

Campsite attached to the hotel next door. Sanitary facilities available (no electricity). Very nice view, but sloping terrain, so you need to arrive quite early to get a good spot. The site is not suitable for motorhomes.

Quiet location, right at the entrance to Slovak Paradise. Check-in at the hotel reception; two clean showers and toilets. Waste disposal is fine, fresh water is available at ground level right next to the chemical toilet - fortunately we didn't have to use it. There is also a spacious dishwasher. Parceled grassy pitches without free choice of site with an access road leading through the middle. Suitable as a base for trips to Slovak Paradise. Swimming pool and wellness facilities are available at an additional cost.
🛣️🅿️ Rest areas suitable for sleeping and parking:
Hôrka - Asphalt round rest area, unfortunately close to the road (traffic noise), specialty: sulfur spring with healing water. Good for relaxation, easily accessible for all vehicles, 4 places. 📍 N 49°1’19.0956” E 20°23’25.872”
Stratená: Easy access but not recommended for caravans over 7.50 metres, turning can be tricky. Great place to stay overnight, very quiet, easy access to the water. Parking can fill up very quickly. 📍N 48°52’24.5424” E 20°21’41.2812”
